Chabad of Hunterdon County is holding its annual Holiday Toy Drive, where new toys are being collected to be distributed to underprivileged children and families in Hunterdon County through the United Way’s Helping Hands Project.
New coloring books for children and new puzzle books for adults are also being collected for those who are undergoing medical treatment during the holiday season at Hunterdon Medical Center.
All toys that are collected are distributed to families in Hunterdon County.
Unwrapped new toys, coloring books and puzzle books can be dropped off at the following locations: The Flemington Department Store, Hunterdon Medical Center, Chabad Jewish Center 90 Beaver Ave. in Clinton, Hunterdon Health and Wellness Center in Clinton, Unity Bank in Clinton and Whitehouse Station, Tirpok Cleaners in Flemington and Clinton.
The drive runs through Sunday, Dec. 15.
Corporate sponsors for the toy drive are Unity Bank, The United Way, Hunterdon Medical Center, Flemington Department Store, Harbortouch, The Wine Library, Tirpok Cleaners, Foster Beck and Associates, and Sandy and Karolee Glassman.
The most-requested toys are: Rainbow loom, Glow Pet by My Pillow Pets, Flying Fairy Toy (Flutterbye Fairies), Pokemon toys/cards, doll house, scooter, Monster High dolls, pretend makeup, Legos of any kind especially Chima and Ninjago, anything related to Angry Birds, anything related to Thomas the Tank Engine, twin bed sets, blankets, Princess, Tinkerbell and Dora dolls, Princess Sophia, Play-Doh, Spiderman, remote-control car, skateboard, anything related to Hello Kitty, diaries, art and craft supplies, soccer ball, Walker car seat, Leap Frog learning games, V-Tech learning tablet, One Direction music CD, Selena Gomez music CD, games for any gaming system.
